    The Clever Thief 3 CD:

    Every 4 years I release a 30 track Clever Thief beat tape. Each Clever Thief album consists of 30 tracks composed using only vinyl samples and recorded during a 1 month period. The 30 tracks on this recording represent the newest chapter of a creative project I started in 2014, and have loved continuing with The Clever Thief 3.

    The Clever Thief 3 is my 23rd solo album. I pulled from a wide variety of vinyl in my collection to create the sounds contained in this series of songs. Sonically, I was looking to make a collage of repurposed musical exerts that explored the possibilities of sample based music creation. While this is a "beat tape", my goal with this collection of music was to record more than just 30 beats. I wanted to create 30 condensed compositions and proceeded with that concept in mind. I hope you enjoy the results.
